All Is Not Lost
This is my inaugural blog in honor of the music of Visitor. I haven't been genuinely moved by music, and its capacity to inspire, in a long time. That was until I came into contact with the songs and poems of a guy from Lost Creek, Tennessee. Living in New York City and being constantly inundated with the latest trendy fad had left me bored and disappointed in new music. Visitor has reawakend my love for music and writing. His music is truly authentic and seems to spring from a place that is universal yet mysterious and deeply personal. His work has an intrinsic purity that beckons to us to remember that unspoiled part of ourselves. He appeals to what he hopes is not all lost in us. His songs hit me in a place that I had forgotten could be touched by truth and dignity, and fight. They are a wake-up call.
